“Net zero” refers to carbon neutrality, the point at which carbon emissions into the atmosphere are balanced with carbon removal from the atmosphere. Currently humans emit more carbon dioxide than can be sequestered by oceans, forests and other naturally occurring ecosystems so the global concentration of carbon dioxide is increasing. In order to achieve net zero humanity can both reduce carbon emissions and increase carbon capture by reforesting the earth.
The aim of ZCK is to reduce the carbon emissions associated with purchasing brand new children’s clothes and increase carbon sequestering via tree planting. So far we have planted 20 trees with Trees for Cities and donated £100 with Stump up for Trees
